Wing Ding Des Moines was a lot of fun for Cindy and me. We got a chance to catch up with a lot of old friends and met a few new ones as well. We really enjoyed seeing our COY alumni from our year as District COY.

Our trip back home was a bit different. We did a 1000 mile `shortcut` riding back to our home near Buffalo, MN by circling the state all the way up to the Canadian border to get the last couple roads to say we have ridden thru every county in our home state. Got`er done!

Another event we had a great time at in June was our North Dakota District Ride-In at Medora. The weather did all it could to prevent it, but we had about 45 hardly folks ride thru the 45 to 60 mph winds the day before to get there. The weather cleared up the next day and we had a great day riding thru Theadore Roosevelt National Park flirtting with a buffalo and seeing the painted canyons. The evening meal at the Pitchfork Fondue was terrific and the Medora Musical was as entertaining as ever.

We are hoping to make some announcements at our Fall Ops meeting that should continue to grow the District and advance everyone`s involvement in what GWRRA has to offer.
